Medical Transcription
History
In 1991,
NJPR formed MTS to provide medical transcription services. These services
feature digital dictation equipment, digital voice storage with simultaneous
redundant recording access from any touch-tone telephone, available 24
hours a day, seven days a week and electronic transmission of completed
reports to the client's site within the contracted turnaround time.
All transcriptionists
work through a network server which is on-site in the NJPR office. All
work is transcribed by highly-qualified certified and certified-eligible
medical transcriptionists. Each transcriptionist who is employed or independently
contracts with NJPR is required to sign a confidentiality statement.
Full support
as well as overflow medical transcription services are currently provided
for approximately twenty-nine clients including eight hospitals.
NJPR is a
member of the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists (AAMT)
and the Medical Transcription Industry Alliance (MTIA) and AHIMA.
