NJPR can
assist you with training new employees and providing continuing education

Our instructors
are AHIMA credentialed, and CCS certified, each with over 12 years hands
on experience.
NJPR instructors
code on a daily basis in NJPR client hospitals thereby offering a broad,
knowledge base and experience with a varied case mix with all clinical
specialties.

Advanced ICD-9-CM Coding
|

Coding Seminar - one day - Designed to challenge the experienced coder in assigning codes for complex case. Coding scenarios will be presented and discussed.
Prerequisite: Experience in inpatient medical record coding or supervising.

CCS "Cram Course"
|
|
Coding Seminar - one day - This course covers all aspects of the CCS examination including typical test questions, format of the test, discussion of answers and the thought behind the answers.
Prerequisite: Experience in coding inpatient records or coding the hospital portion of ambulatory surgery and emergency room care.

Advanced CPT, Part I and II
|

Coding Seminar - Two individual one day seminars - These seminars will focus on the complex CPT coding of:
- Arthroscopic Procedures
- Urinary Procedures
- Eye Procedures
- Foot Procedures
- Injection Procedures
- Reporting Multiple Procedures
Prerequisite: Experience in coding surgical procedures, knowledge of CPT.

Yearly CPT Changes Seminar
|
|
Coding Seminar - one day - In this seminar, participants will:
- Be prepared for CPT Changes effective every January
- Understand the complexity and coding of new procedures and services
- Learn about new Category II and III changes
- Reinforce CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines
Prerequisite: Knowledge of CPT coding principals and guidelines.
