are AHIMA credentialed, and CCS certified, each with over 12 years hands
on experience.
NJPR instructors

Inpatient Coding 101
|
|
Coding Seminar - Two Days - This course is designed to provide an introduction and overview into the realm of inpatient coding. Participants will learn coding principles and proper procedures for accurate code assignment.
If you are currently performing outpatient or emergency room coding and would like to gain the tools and skills needed for inpatient coding - please join us.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes and anatomy and physiology.

Advanced ICD-9-CM Coding
|
|
Coding Seminar - one day - Designed to challenge the experienced coder in assigning codes for complex cases. Coding scenarios will be presented and discussed.
Prerequisite: Experience in inpatient medical record coding or supervising.

CCS "Cram Course"
|
|
Coding Seminar - 2 days - This course (split in 2 sessions: ICD-9-CM and CPT) covers all aspects of the CCS examination including typical test questions, format of the test, discussion of answers and the thought behind the answers.
Prerequisite: Experience in coding inpatient records or coding the hospital portion of ambulatory surgery and emergency room care.

Introduction to ICD-10
|

ICD-10 is around the corner... are you ready?
This seminar is designed to provide participants with information and rationale for transitioning to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS
This course will discuss:
- Educational timeline for ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS
- Code Structure and Format of New System
- Compare and contrast ICD-9-CM/PCS and ICD-10/PCS
Our instructor is an AHIMA-certified ICD-10 trainer.

Prerequisite: Knowledge of ICD-9-CM coding.

Yearly CPT Changes Seminar

Coding Seminar - one day - In this seminar, participants will:
- Be prepared for CPT Changes effective every January
- Understand the complexity and coding of new procedures and services
- Learn about new Category II and III changes
- Reinforce CPT and HCPCS coding guidelines
Prerequisite: Knowledge of CPT coding principals and guidelines.
